Welcome to The Fertility Institutes’ Canadian Patient Information page. With Dr. Steinberg—our Director—having previously practiced medicine in Canada, we have long been recognized as one of the most active, successful, and accessible U.S. fertility centers for Canadian patients.
We specialize in advanced fertility procedures that are not available in Canada, including 99.9% gender selection, eye color selection, and genetic disease prevention. Our extensive experience working with Canadian patients allows us to provide a seamless and highly supportive process from consultation through treatment.
Through established relationships with 28 of the 33 active fertility programs in Canada, Dr. Steinberg and his team offer efficient and convenient access to fully legal, approved U.S.-based advanced genetic services. It is important to note that there are no restrictions preventing Canadian patients from seeking these services in the United States through The Fertility Institutes.
A Convenient Treatment Process for Canadian Patients
When pursuing gender selection, eye color selection, or genetic health screening, patients should understand that treatment typically involves approximately 2–3 weeks of structured medical care.
Unlike many U.S. programs that require patients to remain onsite for the full duration, our approach allows Canadian patients to complete most of their preparation from home. In many cases, patients only need to travel to the U.S. for two short visits lasting 1–2 days each, significantly reducing disruption to daily life.

- A telemedicine consultation will be scheduled with Dr. Steinberg, Director of our Canadian Program
- We will coordinate any necessary testing through one of our partner laboratories
- Together, we will schedule your treatment timeline and begin preparations
- If needed, we will assist with visa documentation to support your participation in an approved U.S. program
